Posted by man on 07 February 2010

Flight time from Manchester to Cape Town varies per flight. By this I mean there is no one fixed time I can simply mention but I have to assess different flights. another thing is you might want to consider the total time for the journey or just the time you spend in the air.

So now that I have provided the background let me provide the different times by the top Airlines.

The British Airways offers the shortest time to Cape Town from Manchester. That is, the time spent on air is twelve hours and thirty five minutes (12h35m). Transfer time is one hour 30 minutes overall (1h30m), which makes the total journey to be fourteen hours and five minutes (14h05m).

The South African Airways takes fourteen hours and ten minutes, which is almost similar to the British Airways. Of this time 12 hours and 55 minutes constitutes time in the air and 1 hour and 15 minutes is time in between flights.

Virging Atlantic offers the nest shortest possible flight. The flight only has one stop over in London from where it heads straight to Cape Town. Time for air travel on this flight is 13 hours. The transfer time is two hours and 40 minutes (2h40m), which makes the overall journey to be fifteen hours and forty minutes (15h40).

Lufthansa Airlines takes about sixteen hours overall, Emirates nearly 20 hours overall flight time, Manchester to Cape Town and Air France about eighteen hours.
